The third quarter of 2022 saw significant activity in the card battler genre on a unified platform in the United States. Here’s a closer look at the performance metrics for the top 5 apps.

Magic: The Gathering Arena by Wizards of the Coast experienced an impressive peak in weekly revenue, hitting approximately $717K in late August. The weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at around 24K in late June and gradually declining to about 18K by the end of September. Meanwhile, the weekly active users remained steady, hovering around 140K throughout the quarter.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel from KONAMI saw a notable spike in revenue in mid-July, reaching $310K. Downloads started strong with about 26K at the beginning of the quarter but saw a decline to approximately 15K by the end of September. Active users also varied, peaking at nearly 120K in mid-July and falling to around 74K by the quarter's close.

Mighty Party: Battle Heroes by Panoramik Games showed a consistent revenue stream, peaking at about $296K in early August. Weekly downloads varied significantly, beginning at around 23K in late June, dipping mid-quarter, and then returning to about 14K by the end of September. Yu-Gi-Oh! CROSS DUEL, also from KONAMI, launched in early September and quickly gained traction. The app saw its highest weekly revenue of around $100K in mid-September. Downloads peaked at about 114K in early September, with active users reaching 82K in the same period before declining towards the end of the month.

Cards, Universe & Everything by VirtTrade Ltd maintained a steady performance. Weekly revenue hovered around $63K to $75K throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a gradual decrease from about 14K in late June to around 9K by the end of September. Weekly active users were relatively stable, starting at about 19K and ending slightly lower at around 18K.
